In this conversation, we dive into Iakov’s journey in professional soccer. We crossed paths during my vacation to Spain and connected over both growing up in the Pacific Northwest. He shares his experience moving from Russia to Alaska when he was 10, competing at Western Washington University, to recently finishing up his first season with Gibraltar FC. (British territory in the southern tip of Spain).
